We've had the Baby Jogger City Series pram for around 2 months now and have given it enough of a workout to be fairly confident in writing a review of it.

The first thing we noticed about this Baby Jogger 3 wheeler pram is that it weighs around half of similar 3 wheelers from Mamas & Papas or Silvercross. Ideed it is also much lighter than the Quinny 3 wheeler that is so popular at the moment.

What probably helps reduce the weight of the Baby Jogger City Series Stroller compared to it's rivals is the lack of suspension. All the other ones on the market have some kind of suspension system on the lower frame which while it looks good, probably does very little for the ride quality and adds to the weight of the buggy.

Tyres are thinner than most three wheelers and it has a swivel front wheel which can be locked for longer walks and bumpier roads. This combination makes the Baby Jogger incredibly manoeverable in shops and around town. Out of town it makes it a very fast pram that requires very little energy to push it along. The wheels are metal and look like they'll be long lasting.

The brake system on the Baby Jogger City Series Stroller is operated solely with a foot pedal. There is no hand operated brake on it. The bar that locks into the wheel to apply the brake is visible to you always know that you've applied the brake correctly and the pram wont roll away when you are at a cash machine or similar (unlike our previous M&P pram).

The handle on the Baby Jogger is sturdy and easily adjusted for height, simply by pushing a button on either side and swivelling to the required height.

The baby area of the pram itself is comfy and lies down flat very easily with. The five point safety harness will hold the baby securely though we though that there might be a little more length to the waist straps - that could be an issue as the baby gets bigger.

The hood on the Baby Jogger City Series stroller is an amazing piece of engineeering with two windows to watch your baby through. It has several positions and folds so far forwards that it can give full protection from the sun without the need for a parasol or similar.

We bought the Baby Jogger footmuff and the rain cover as accessories adding around £60 to the original cost of £200. Well worth it. The rain cover is lightweight, packs small and is easy to fit. The foot muff is extremely cosy and covers the baby well.

Overall we're very happy with this 3 wheeler and have not complaints at all.

Rating: 10/10
