Volvo have released a software app that allows you to view Volvo news on your desktop, free, anonymously and completely up to date. They’re calling it Volvo-I Desktop News Update Service. Sure, wouldn’t it just be easier to release a Volvo RSS feed and keep in step with the way the rest of the online automotive world delivers news? And really, an entire process running in the background all the time on your computer, just for news from Volvo. Is it really worth it? Not for me. Automotive RSS feed please.
Ford Mondeo Review
Earlier in this blog I mentioned how much of an unsung hero the Ford Mondeo ST 220 is. Rather glad then that when reading this Ford Mondeo review it appears the tester agrees with me. Didn’t expect them to find the 2.5 ghia to be the worst of the bunch. I thought it would be the refined one. The review does suggest that although the handling of all the models is great, the interior spec and styling are starting to feel a little dated. Mondeo’s also plummet in value as soon as you buy them new, so better to go for a nearly new one at a discount price.
Win a Nissan 350Z
The UK’s Fifth Gear on Channel 5 this week is giving away a Nissan 350Z after a shootout between it and an Audi TT Quattro sport. Awesome prize, awesome car. It easily beat the Audi round the track and while it’s not the same in the looks department, rear wheel drive and a larger engine give it that little bit more grunt.
Win the Nissan 350Z here until the 21st November 2005.
